It was Christmas 2023, when my best friend introduced me to a new line of self-care products.
Christmas morning, I opened the gift that contained 3 different products. Like most of us out
there, I was skeptical at first. To be fair, the world is bombarded by ads that prove to ‘be the
best” at one thing or another- tightening the skin, making you look 10 years younger, and the

That night I decided to try the first product. After all, what did I have to lose? I dove into the
beautifully packaged product aptly named “Metamorphosis.” Metamorphosis is marketed as a
cleansing clay mask that draws out facial impurities and firms the skin. I followed the
instructions and removed all my make-up to reveal a blank slate of clean and fresh skin ready to
be refreshed and renewed. After mixing the powder, a clay formed that I applied to my entire
face and neck. As it hardened, I felt my skin tightening. It was as if my skin was being awakened
for the first time since I was a teenager.
After the allotted time, I removed the product to reveal an even cleaner and fresher look. Most of
the other products I have used never gave me that tingly-fresh alive feeling like this clay mask
had. The true test was when I noticed my pores were clean! There were no longer the specks of
random blackheads that plagued my face over time. My face felt alive again with a renewed
